This Privacy Policy describes how Sierra Espada ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the WakeyWakey application ("the App"). We take your privacy seriously and are committed to transparency about our practices.

1. Who We Are

WakeyWakey is developed and operated by Sierra Espada, an independent software studio based in Spain.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Calendar Data

WakeyWakey reads your device's calendar events locally to schedule meeting alerts. Calendar data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. It is processed entirely on your device and is not stored outside the App's local cache.

2.2 Analytics Data

We collect anonymous usage events to understand how the App is used and improve it. This includes events such as app launches, screen views, and feature interactions. All analytics data is collected with a randomly generated anonymous identifier — we do not link analytics to your identity unless you create an account.

Analytics are processed by PostHog (EU servers, Frankfurt, Germany).

2.3 Crash Reports

When the App crashes or encounters an error, we collect technical information to help us fix bugs. This may include:

Stack trace and error message
Device model, OS version, and App version
Timestamp of the crash
App state at the time of the crash

Crash reports are processed by Sentry (EU servers, Germany).

2.4 Account Data (when you create an account)

If you create a WakeyWakey account (optional), we store:

Your email address
Your app preferences and settings (for sync across devices)
Subscription status

2.5 Purchase Data

If you subscribe to WakeyWakey Pro, purchase information is processed by:

Google Play — for Android in-app purchases
RevenueCat — subscription management (stores purchase metadata, not payment card details)

We never see or store your payment card information.

5. Data Retention

Analytics data: retained for 12 months, then deleted.
Crash reports: retained for 90 days.
Account data: retained until you delete your account.
Calendar data: never stored outside your device.

6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data.
Erasure ("right to be forgotten"): request deletion of your data.
Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format.
Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest.
Withdrawal of consent: opt out of analytics at any time in App Settings.

7. Children's Privacy

WakeyWakey is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, by in-app notification or email (if you have an account). Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
